Looks like the Raiders are headed to Sin City.
Years of speculation can finally be put to rest as today the Oakland Raiders have officially filed paperwork to relocate their franchise to Las Vegas.
According to NFL.com, this is the first formal step in a relocation process that won't become truly official until the Raiders receive 3/4ths of the vote (24 votes) from the NFL's owners to formally make the move. That vote will take place in March at the Annual League Meeting.
If (when) the move is OK'd by the league's owners, the Raiders will still have to play at least two more season in Oakland before relocating to Vegas in the 2020 season.
