NWJ aka Nothing without Jesus, recently changed from Negroes With Jesus, is a group of young artists who use their musical creativity to glorify Christ Jesus. They focus on the doctrinal truths revealed in the Scriptures by God and implement them in their lyrics. The Acronym JOHN, which stands for Jesus Over Human Needs is what this group lives by, putting Jesus before everything else, in everything from rapping to daily living. All members of the group hold to the Calvinist teachings of the Bible, namely the doctrines of grace which outline the Sovereignty of God over salvation and His plan to redeem fallen man. Through every song these “John’s” produce, the delivery the gospel is the ultimate goal, in the hope of being a means in which men are saved (Romans 1:16; 12:15). As we continually grow together in Christ, we desire for others to find the true definition of life.
