It's been a massive year for Normani. Although Fifth Harmony announced their hiatus, Normani was already setting her sights on a solo career. She made her solo debut alongside Khalid on their single, "Love Lies" which entered the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and was later remixed by the Boss himself, Ricky Rozay. Over the past few months, she expanded her catalog with collaborations with Jessie Reyez, Quavo and more. Now, she teams up with Calvin Harris for a quick two-track effort which includes "Slow Down."

Normani and Calvin Harris released a two-track effort simply titled, Normani x Calvin Harris. "Slow Down" is the second track of the offering. Harris cooks up a dance-pop influenced beat for Normani to croon over. It's a single that could've been a definitive track on summer playlists had it been released a few months earlier. Regardless, the two prove to be a great match on wax. Hopefully, there are more collaborations that come out between the two in the future.

Quotable Lyrics
Remember that night at your old house?
Remember that time that you broke down?
Saying that you're happy, that you dropped that chain
No I'm not, I'm the one to hold down
