The most anticipated hip hop group of the year, better known as No Mercy Squad has delivered great music and a variety of amazing entertaining performances throughout the years. Their ongoing newfound success didn’t just happen overnight. Their drive, passion, determination, and, dedication is what has and is still helping them achieve their goal towards making it big and leaving an important mark in the music industry. The overwhelming fact that it’s very hard to get into the business obviously didn’t stop them from their grind and the proof is in the pudding. Every story has a beginning but as for the No Mercy Squad…they started from scratch. The most infamous hip hop group has had an amazing run for five years. Doesn’t that sound pretty insane? They haven’t even officially arrived to the world yet and the group is already operating as if they’ve sold millions of records. They come up on the first ten pages of Google… (Pictures and all) the No Mercy Squad strives to empower the human spirit through their lyrics. Their lyrical content minuses the degradation of women, malice and deceit. No Mercy Squad’s protocol is the universal code. Their resume includes a large list of shows which first originated from the Spring Valley Rapping Poetic showcase; they performed an array of rap performances for the East Ramapo Marching Band and at the same time was producing their first mix tape No Turning Back in 2005 (finished in 2007) in which by then was released on Itunes.com as well as many other distribution websites. Then came the “Stop The Violence rap contest” in which they won a place in the rap battle to perform on tour to promote anti violence. Then the squad ended up doing an amazing show at the Giants’ Stadium with the East Ramapo Marching Band for the battle of the bands competition alongside rap artists Red Café, Jason Fox, and Hurricane Chris. Another performance was the annual Spring Valley Day and “The Stop The Violence” performance on the same stage. 5 through 10 performances on the Rockland Report venues, various interviews on Rockland Report radio station, El Sol newspaper, Zenedge energy drink promotion, Jacket Source fashion shows, spring valley ‘s hip hop showcase in which they raised funds for the first recording studio in their high school. Lucky 7 of the No Mercy Squad has volunteered lyrics on Spring Valley High School’s Martin Luther King tribute mix tape in which Lucky 7 himself was featured on channel 7 news with news reporter Art McFarland. Then the squad went out to New Jersey to perform at Rutgers University for the Battle of the Schools competition, they have won an amazing trophy for that particular show as a result. Shortly after we had a very successful mix tape release party at the Rivera steakhouse in February 2010 then we also signed autographs at the “Rockland’s got talent showcase” (autograph signing) then in April we were going to be an opening act for both the two time Grammy nominee Def Jam Rap artist Fabolous and Atlantic Records Rap artist Maino. Unfortunately the town canceled the concert on behalf of the town ordinance safety issues. Despite the dilemma…overall we had a very successful after party of that event. In the month of May we were financially funded by Blamnation to host and produce a radio show called the youth empowerment hour, which was a very successful run which led to our own contract for Mountain Dahwg Ent through Rockland world radio to fund our own show known now as the Youth- logy Hour. At the same time we were given an opportunity to host an open mic night at the Rivera Steakhouse which also had a very successful run as well. Soon after the No Mercy Squad were the featured artists of local Rockland county artist “Noxstone’s” album release party. They were also featured artists on the Blamnation radio show three times. The squad soon after, was invited and performed three times at the Harlem Lanes lounge located right in the heart of Harlem. During the month of July the squad went and performed on a very successful tour known as “The Get This Money Tour” traveling from the whole tri state area all the way down to Myrtle Beach South Carolina which was the last stop. Then on September 30th No Mercy Squad was invited as featured artists to perform at the Five Spot Nightclub in Brooklyn. No Mercy Squad currently has ten mix tapes under their belt which can be found on Datpiff.com, Hotnewhiphop.com, and Itunes.com…etc. we are currently producing additional Youth- logy hour radio shows, music videos, and concerts/collabs with artists of various genres. Please give us a call; we are very passionate and dedicated to the art of the grind.
