For the first time ever Nike has plans to release a special edition Texas-themed Kevin Durant sneaker. We've seen Longhorns-themed KDs int he past but none ever made it to retail until now.
Debuting on the University of Texas men’s basketball team this Saturday, the "Texas" Nike KD9 shoe pays homage to Kevin Durant’s beloved alma mater.
“Attending UT was one of the best experiences of my life and launching the KD9 back in Austin this past June reflects my love for the college experience I had 10 years ago,” says Durant.
The UT women's team will also wear this colorway beginning Saturday, March 4th in the Big 12 Conference tournament.
The KD9 “Texas” releases March 10th for the retail price of $150.
