Nicki Minaj's new single "Anaconda" received Sir Mix-A-Lot's blessing yesterday (even if devout hip-hop fans were not feeling it), and as Nicki continues to push it she'll be performing it at the upcoming MTV VMAs.
The MTV Music Video Awards go down on August 24th at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, and Nicki will perform "Anaconda" there for the very first time. The song is off her upcoming album The Pinkprint, and there's also a music video on the way (peep the behind-the-scenes for it here).
Nicki Minaj joins other MTV VMA performers which include Usher, Ariana Grande, Beyonce and more. Beyonce will also be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at the event.
