In honor of the 7-year anniversary of Kanye West’s “Monster” record, which ultimately changed Nicki Minaj’s life forever, the Pink Print rapper decided to reflect on her iconic verse and what it meant to collaborate with the likes of Kanye Wesy & Jay Z. In her lengthy IG post, Nicki revealed that Kanye was thinking about not even putting the record on his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but she convinced him otherwise.

“Kanye called me to tell me Jay put a verse on this song & that he was still deciding if he would put it on his album," she wrote on Instagram. "Haha. It was like an hour long call where I tried to convince him to let the song stay on his album. He felt this verse would end up being the talk of the album. I said: YOU’RE KANYE WEST!!!!"

After revealing that she was the first female rapper to perform at Yankee Stadium, Nicki would go onto admit that there was a minor disagreement when it came to her classic growl too. Apparently Kanye wanted more of it, while Nicki feared it would be “overkill.” Well it turns out Kanye West was right once again.

Nicki would also add that Black Chyna was her stunt double in the video due to her “assets” and that she got hooked up ‘Ye thanks to Amber Rose, who at the time was dating Mr. West.

“Chyna was my stunt double in the video. (Due to her ASSets). Amber had spoken highly of me to Ye n pushed for him to meet with me. The rest is history. Ye, Jay, Em...All 3 of them helped me in some way. Love,” Nicki shared.
