Nicki Minaj Gets Her Due At Peoples' Choice Awards: Full List Of Winners

Last Night was 44th annual Peoples' Choice Awards and the people chose some unexpected winners. Unlike awards shows like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, the People's Choice Awards are quite literally a popularity contest. While The Oscars are a decided by the oft-thanked "Academy" and the Golden Globes are judged by the shady-sounding "Hollywood Foreign Press Association," the PCAs are judged by the general public. Although, before the public gets to vote a third party company hired by E! conducts polls similar to those used in elections, as well as surveys of album/movie/etc sales, streams and video views to determine what is the most popular. After the 2016 elections, we're all aware of the imperfect nature of polls, but the results seem to line up with the inescapable things of 2018. Also, the public spoke in support of Nicki Minaj's Queen, which won album of the year after a sometimes tough year for the rapper. Here, from CNN, is the full list of winners:
