Nicki Minaj has officially been named as the fourth judge on the hit reality show American Idol.
Since announcing Mariah Carey and her staggering $18 million a year price tag would be judging on American Idol, there have been reports floating around attaching other big names in urban music as another judge. Names like Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, and even Kanye West were rumored to be in the running as judges, and now Ryan Seacrest has announced that Nicki Minaj is officially on board as a judge of the hit reality star-searching show.
From XclusivesZone, Barbz will join the previously mentioned Mariah Carey, country star Keith Urban, and Idol mainstay Randy Jackson as the team of judges. No word on what Nicki's salary will be, but expect it to be hefty. A press conference will be held Monday, and the 12th season of American Idol, in which Minaj will appear, starts airing in January.
