Nicki Minaj And Rihanna Lead The 2012 American Music Award Nominees

Encompassing R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna lead the pack in this year's American Music Awards nominees.


The nominees for the 2012 American Music Awards have been announced and the leading ladies of hip hop and R&B are perched atop with the most nominations.  Nicki Minaj and Rihanna, both pulled in four nominations.

Trailing slightly behind, with three nominations, is Rihanna’s on-again, off-again partner, Chris Brown, who is up against Ri-Ri in the “Favorite Album: Soul/R&B” category.  J. Cole notched three noms also, and was nominated in the “New Artist Of The Year” category.
