Nick Foles shocked the world back in February when he propelled the Philadelphia Eagles to an upset victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Foles and company won the pivotal game 41-33 and captured the city's first Super Bowl title.

This year has been much tougher for Foles. The quarterback wasn't even supposed to play in the Super Bowl. Instead, it would have been Carson Wentz had he not gone down with an injury just before the playoffs. That meant this year Foles had to take a backseat to Wentz, although at this point in the season, Foles had been given another chance and on Sunday, he made the most of it.

In a matchup the Eagles needed to win in order to keep their playoff hopes alive, Foles broke the Eagles record for passing yards in a game with 471. He was also the first Philly quarterback with four touchdowns and 400 yards passing in the same match since Foles had done it himself in 2013. What makes the performance more sentimental, is that Foles will most likely not play for the Eagles next season.

"It's emotional," Foles said in his post-game press conference. "I knew there was a chance this could be it. I don't think about the future, but I am aware of that because this city means a lot to me, this team means a lot to me, wearing that jersey means a lot to me."

Foles and the Eagles will play the Washington Redskins next weekend in a game that they have to win in order to have any shot at the post-season.
