It's a sad day for baseball.
The New York Mets' disappointing season continued last night as they lost 7-1 to the Brewers and got rid of one of their most consistent performers all season- their mascot, Mr. Met.
Mr. Met, who technically doesn't have a middle finger because he only has four digits on his hand, flipped the bird to fans as he headed into the tunnel during the 7th inning and of course it was all recorded on film.
The team issued a statement shortly after the game and have since fired the person who assumes the role of Mr. Met.
