New music from Nasty Nas is on its way.

Run The Jewels are earning critical-acclaim from just about every major publication for their new Run The Jewels 2 LP, but the biggest story to come from their fan appreciation night came from an entirely different hip-hop act: Nas. Dropping by the venue to support his Mass Appeal signees, the Queensbridge emcee offered some words of wisdom to Mike & Jamie before offering to preview his new single for all of the lucky attendees. Courtesy of the late J Dilla, the instrumental on this one originally appeared as "Gobstopper" on the legendary producer's Donuts LP back in 2006.

For now, the video that has surfaced online via Mass Appeal's official YouTube channel only features a snippet (a pretty low-quality one for that matter) of what's to come. At the very least, this proves that a high-quality Nas/Dilla single is well on its way, and that news itself should be more than enough to get fans excited for what Nasir has to offer on his Life Is Good follow-up.

The official drop for "The Season" will likely hit the 'net in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out the snippet below.
