South By Southwest is a goldmine for Nardwuar, as it allows him to interview a ton of artist in a very short amount of time. He follows up a very key interview with DJ Khaled by dropping an interview with Metro Boomin.
In traditional Nardwuar fashion, he comes prepared with a ton of tidbits from Metro’s past and gifts that relate to his early work and original hometown of St. Louis. He also speaks on working on “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and some of his older productions with Young Thug and Travi$ Scott.
Metro is clearly up on the greatness of Nardwuar, at one point he calmly states that the eccentric interviewer is “bigger than Saturday Night Live.” Metro definitely trusts Nardwuar, even though he’s caught off guard a couple times by the depths of Nardwuar’s research.
