Along with Ugly Frank and Dave B, Nacho Picasso is one of the few rappers who helps me forget that Macklemore is my home state's best-known hip hop artist. He's signed to Harry Fraud's SRFSCHL label, but still maintains a good working relationship with West Coast producers like Blue Sky Black Death, with whom he linked up for this year's excellent Stoned & Dethroned tape. Yesterday, Nacho dropped another one with 1/2 of BSBD, 88 Ultra, entitled The Witchtape. Stream and purchase the full thing here, and listen to a highlight below.

On the J Byrd the Lowlife-assisted "City Lights," 88 pulls from source material that's very fitting, considering Nacho's origins. Providing the sample is the theme song from "Twin Peaks," the David Lynch-helmed cult TV series that took place in a fictional Washington town. What we end up with is a dark, trippy product that would perfectly soundtrack blazing and/or passing into the afterlife.

Quotable Lyrics

If I'm dippin' from the cops, quick to stick it in her crotch
The bitch is with the shit, and the bitch can fit a lot
So I keep her by my side like the blow in my coin pocket
That's Dumb & Dumber, I go Lloyd off it
