Heavily buzzing Sacramento rapper Mozzy literally just released the album Political Ties with Philthy Rich, but he's already planning to release another album, 1 Up Top Ahk, next month. A couple days ago he released the album's first single: "Messy Murder Scenes."
"Messy Murder Scenes" is an unflinching portrait of life in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood, where violence is a part of everyday life. "A sucka died, I love the nigga that murdered him / Another sucka died, I love the nigga that murdered him," Mozzy raps. As always, it feels like he could keep going forever.
"This video represents me, my jurisdiction, and my hip hop career," Mozzy told The Fader. "I'm tryna murder this game and represent Sacramento, Oak Park and this Mozzy movement. It's the pain, the struggle, and passion for this shit - at Granny house like I gotta get on."
