The Teyana Taylor-directed music video begins with Monica finding her man out on a date with another woman. It's implied that she shoots him, as the remainder of the visual shows her making a new life for herself from behind bars.
Joining Monica in her Orange is the New Black-inspired scenes is her best friend and T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle co-star Tiny Harris along with Summerella and Big Peaches as Monica's jail mates. "Commitment" is said to be a single from Monica's forthcoming Chapter 38 album, a record that will be her first independent release under her MonDeenise Music, Inc imprint.
