Mister Cee has come dangerously close to resigning from HOT 97 in the past, with reports that he would do so shortly after allegations of his use of prostitutes came about last year. In the end, Cee decided to stick with the station, but a message from Funkmaster Flex now reveals that the beloved DJ will be officially resigning as of today.

No word on the reasoning behind his departure, but Cee will be doing his show as usual today, and will likely make the announcement live on air.

Mister Cee will be the second personality to leave HOT 97 this year, following Angie Martinez' move to rival station Power 105 a few months back.

[Update: Listen To His Final Mix]

Mister Cee announced his departure from HOT 97 last week, doing his last show for the station on November 21st. While on the air, he mentioned that the reasoning for his decision was simply that he needed to move forward.

"I am signing off from HOT 97 after this day. Nothing happened to me. There's no controversy like last year [laughs]. It's just it's time for me to go, Tri-State. It's time for me to move on."

The DJ did not say he was retiring from radio altogether, so it's still possible he could pop up on another station in the next little while. We'll keep you posted on any updates, until them you can listen to Cee's final mix for HOT 97 below.
