While we’ve been hearing about a comeback album from Missy Elliott for months, it now appears to be official in the works. Just a week after making her surprise appearance at the Super Bowl halftime performance, Missy Elliott decided to reunite with her longtime partner Timbaland, and hit the studio to cook up some new heat.
Taking to Twitter Tuesday night, Missy tweeted out the very first picture of the two in the lab and had the caption, “Me & @Timbaland bk 2 the drawing board studio dirty beats!”
The picture had fans buzzing online as they haven’t heard these two link up since the double dose of releases we got back in 2012 with "9th Inning" & "Triple Threat".
The upcoming album will be Missy’s first in over a decade. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates.
