We haven't gotten an album from John Legend since 2013, and it's been almost three years since Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dreams. Fans will be happy to know, however, the two R&B sensations just announced they'll be collaborating, not on an album, but for an upcoming on-screen musical.
Miguel will be the star of the "musical drama," while Legend will be behind-the-scenes doing production work. The story will follow a one-hit wonder who is brought back into the world of music when called upon to coach a young woman for an upcoming audition for a TV singing competition.
The film will be produced on behalf of John Legend's Get Lifted Film Co., Furst Films, and IM Global. Filming is set to begin this September. We only hope production won't interfere with the release of Miguel's, supposedly, upcoming album Wild Heart.
