This past week RIAA announced a ton of projects & singles reaching gold & platinum status, including Big Sean's I Decided, Future & Metro Boomin’s “Mask Off” & even Kendrick Lamar's debut effort Section 80 for that matter, but there’s still more. On Wednesday night, ATL trio Migos took to Instagram to share that their latest album, Culture, is now also certified platinum, selling over 1 million units since being released back on January 27th.
"THANK YOU FANS FOR MAKING C U L T U R E PLATINUM," their caption simply read.
The news shouldn’t come too much of a surprise considering their single “Bad & Boujee” owned the charts and their “T-Shirt” record is currently doing numbers on the airwaves. The album even opened at number 1 on the Billboard 200 after moving 132k copies in the first week, so it was really only a matter of time and not if it went platinum.
