Mick Jenkins has been pretty tight-lipped about his forthcoming project, [T]he [H]ealing [C]omponent, although we do know that the album is completed (assuming he hasn't gone back to the drawing board since this Instagram post two months ago). He's been selfish with the leaks lately too, but as a perpetrator of quality over quantity we can't get mad at that.
Today he drops his first song since March's "Artful Dodger" (excluding two featured appearances), with "Sunkissed." The record features frequent collaborator TheMIND, with chiming production from Da-P. The record touches on social matters-- including cultural appropriation as Mick raps: "you love my style, you love my skin, that melanin, that melanin..." The song appears to be some sort of partnership with 1800 Tequila, although the details aren't clear-- it's nevertheless 'presented by' the alcohol brand.

At the forefront of culture, how you tryna drive it from the backseat?
More and more vultures coming at we
Racists mufuckas ain't happy
Me and all my n*ggas in here bended up
Don't get it twisted fam, this ain't Backstreet
Progressing every day, this ain't last week
You can't catch me
If we eliminated every black invention
Mufuckas wouldn't last a week
