Michael Jordan has long been regarded as the best basketball player of all time. He has also been known as a player that was not afraid to display his confidence at the highest level. Jordan recently sat down with The Undefeated's Michael Wilbon, and revealed that he did not consider himself the best player of all time. "I don't want it," said Jordan of the coveted GOAT title. "I think it disrespects Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, all the guys that prior to me, I never had a chance to play against," he continued.

Jordan decided to pay respect to his idols, and those who laid the blueprint for him. "What everybody is saying I am, I never had the chance to compete against other legends that was prior to me," he explained. "For you to say that I'm better than him, I mean it's your opinion. It's their opinion. I accept that as their opinion. If you ask me, I would never say that I'm the greatest player." The debate around the greatest player in NBA history was sparked once again when LeBron James recently proclaimed that he held the title after leading the 1-3 Cleveland Cavaliers back to defeat the heavily favored Golden State Warriors in 2016.
