With hastily scribbled artwork that Michael Christmas says he drew "with crayons outside a Goodwill," the new track "Bootleg Designer" is a celebration of cheap imitations of high-end clothing brands (shoutout to Canal Street, the mecca of these things in NYC). Teaming up with Sir Michael Rocks, Christmas turns out a hilarious, endlessly quotable song.
At one point calling himself "LL Bean-ie Sigel," Christmas shows us once again that he's one of the preeminent comedic rappers of 2014 after turning out a more straight-faced verse on a Termanology record earlier today. He also raps, "I bought a pair of kicks off a homeless dude." Michael Christmas, you are one unique man.
