The last thing we posted from MeLo-X were his wonderfully original remixes of cuts from Beyonce's self-titled album. MeLo is a producer and emcee from East Flatbush, and he's been the tour DJ for rappers including Mickey Factz and Theophilus London. For his latest collaboration, "FFFS," he brings along 21-year-old British femcee Little Simz, who never disappoints.
The beat is a piece of slo-mo house-inspired wavyness, something we know Simz can deal with, and MeLo-X shows off some serious rhyming skills, too. The lyrics, apparently inspired by skydiver Felix Baumgartner, the first person to ever break the sound barrier, are just as spacey as the production. Listen up and blast off.
Check out our recent interview with Little Simz and look out for more MeLo-X.
I'm an innocent child, invisible now
No laws here, it's getting political now
I had to look inside, to find a piece of me
Oh, the irony, there's only peace in me
