I Got The Hookup

Mellobeatz is Maryland-based rapper and producer born and raised in New York. His new submission "I Got The Hookup" is a self-produced track that uses an effective horn loop, filtered and cut with driving drums in a way that would make Madlib proud. His rap delivery is much more reserved than his production, but his words twist and turn in surprising ways that compliment the thrilling beat. It's one of a number of self-produced tracks on his SoundCloud, and is scheduled to appear on his upcoming tape I Got The Hookup 2, which should find him focusing more on his rapping than in the past.
