Recently, HotNewHipHop chopped it up with Finally Famous rapper Earlly Mac. We first introduced Earlly to you back in 2012 when he collabed with FF members Big Sean and SayItAintTone and Taylor Gang's Juicy J on "On Deck." In 2013, he appeared on albums for both Big Sean and Slum Village. By 2014, it was clear that Earlly Mac was a force to be reckoned with, and the world was taking notice. He released new music, and was nominated for a spot on the prestigious XXL Freshmen list. In October alone, he released the bangers "#LikePac," "#LikeKanye," and "#NextRoom." It's clear that Earlly is super talented yet we don't know much about the Detroit rapper, so we decided to go straight to the source. Meet Earlly Mac.

HotNewHipHop: Can you explain your style a little bit for people who don't know it?

Earlly Mac: Yeah. My style is really to tailored to me. Ya know? It's really like you know my personality, my character traits are like I'm fun, I'm intellectual, I'm sometimes disorganized...Extreme. You know what I mean? And at the same time, modest. You know. I can't really pinpoint it.

HNHH: Ok. Yeah. Can you tell us a little bit about the new songs you've been dropping? You've been getting a lot of love from Complex and XXL, which is awesome. Can you just tell us a little more about your new music?

Earlly Mac: Yeah. The new music is from projects...it's actually from two different projects that I've been working on. One is obviously #EarlPose and the other is #GodKnows, but I haven't...I just decided that instead of releasing a project I should just let the world hear who I am, you know, and really just let the music speak for itself, you know?

HNHH: Absolutely.

Earlly Mac: And not really just focus on a project. I want people to take their time, and to really be able to get with who I am and who I am as an artist with these songs.

HNHH: So, a little earlier this year, you were nominated for a spot on the XXL Freshmen list. Can you tell us a little bit about how that felt and just a bit more about that?

Earlly Mac: Actually, I was looking at the list. I always wanted to be on the list. Everybody does, you know, Sean was on this list. Danny [Brown] was on this list. Ya know that list can do a lot for you. You know, it could be. It could definitely make your situation better if you utilize it right. But you know...Around the time that they put out the possible candidates for the cover, I seen that they came up with this thing called the 10 Spot, the XXL Freshmen 10 Spot, where you could actually vote for the 10th spot. You know, whether it was legit or not, I don't know. But, I was scrollin' through the candidates and that there was a lot of them. It was a lot of candidates. I was scrollin' through and I seen a few people from Detroit, one of my homies, Dusty [McFly], Dusty and Boldy[ James] up on there. And then I scrolled down a little bit and I seen me and I'm like 'Oh shhh.' You know, that was VERY pleasant surprise. Nobody told me. I really found out for myself. That was really tight.

HNHH: Yeah. It was definitely very dope to see your name on there! Can you tell us a bit about Finally Famous?

Earlly Mac: Right, basically, Finally Famous has always been a group of friends, really before anything. It's like a fraternity. We actually started out promoting parties in Detroit. And it's not just artists (Big Sean, Earlly Mac, SayItAintTone, Jay John Henry, and John Conyers). You've got writers, directors, athletes, businessmen. Sean has big plans for the group, which I'm really excited about. I can't divulge too much, but stay tuned. Finally Famous Over Everything!

HNHH: Awesome. Well, We're all very excited to learn more about that! What are you working on now?

Earlly Mac: I'm in LA helping finishing up Sean's album. I'm dropping songs, and really just attacking whatever opportunities that arise.

HNHH: Dope! Is there anything else you want people to know? People have obviously been loving your music, which is great. But is there anything you want HotNewHipHop and the world to know about Earlly Mac?

Earlly Mac: They ain't gotta know nothin. I'm gonna show everybody what they need to know, really.
