Meek Mill opens up about his time in jail as "Dreams & Nightmares" release date approaches
Spending time in jail really put things in perspective for Meek Mill. Reflecting and striking up a relationship with God pushed the Philly rapper to shape up upon leaving.
“Before I went to jail, I used to be a slouch,” he admits to XXL. “I used to smoke weed; things like that. Get high, hang on corners, play with guns—do a lot of dumb stuff. It took me to sit down in jail one time and use my brain and think. That’s the best thing jail did for me. I sat down and I thought about everything that I could possibly do when I get out there."
