"It was all good just a week ago." Now Philly is split. Meek Mill enlisted his hometown vet Beanie Sigel to guest alongside the Dreamchaser's Omelly on the "OOOUUU" remix that served as a response to The Game's first Meek diss, "92 Bars." The Game is still going hard at "Meeky Mouse" and the "Dick-chasers," though now -- much to his amusement -- a separate beef has taken shape within Philly. Apparently soon after recording at the Chasers' studio, Sigel reached out to The Game. He has implied that he unknowingly showed up on the diss record, which didn't echo his own sentiments toward The Game, though the Chasers feel he double-crossed them and even provided classified intel to the opposing team.
The inter-Philly beef became really real when Sigel got knocked out backstage at the Bad Boy show in Philly by a Chaser named Teefy Bey. Sigel has since taken to the air to address how Meek's been letting down his city in a lengthy rant, and today, Meek shared a screenshot of a text -- seemingly from Beans -- that indeed paints the former Roc emcee in a treacherous light.
Beefs these days... What's crazy is how things unraveled so fast. Sigel was thought to be an honorary Chaser and Meek even featured him on a Dreamchasers anthem on his famed DJ Drama-hosted Dreamchasers mixtape, released in 2011. "Dreamchasers" is a powerful collab, one that Philly should be proud of. Sigel cosigns the Dreamchasers brand and mission, which is readily inspirational on this song. Are the Chasers still getting love in Philly? Not in Beans's book. Rough times for the city of brotherly love.
