Check out a new video from Mary J. Blige.
Mary J. Blige's The London Sessions is finally in stores. For those who have been sleeping on the queen's latest tracks, "Whole Damn Year" is a damn good place to start. Using her smooth vocals to accent a minimalist piano-driven instrumental, Mary proves once again why she deserves to be mentioned in any conversation about R&B's best artists.
Visually, this one is about as powerful as the song itself, depicting the devastating effects of abuse in all of its forms. The black-and-white handheld photography gives the narrative a documentary-esque feel, making the events all the more convincingly deplorable.
