Mary J. Blige took to Twitter to express her disappointment after being snubbed by the Academy Awards.

Mary J. Blige, who penned an original song for the movie "The Help," (which was nominated for Best Picture) called "Living Proof," was not nominated for Best Original Song in this year's Oscars. The category only has two nominations this year.

After the nominations were announced MJB tweeted, "I’m so thankful for true fans like you all. It saddens me & feels like the Academy is being mean. 2 only nominate 2 of the 5 slots is…." She then retweeted fans' reactions to the news.
