Atlanta rapper Marlo is aligning himself to be the next big thing out of the ATL, a city that is known for its long list of chart-topping artists. Although he's described himself as "the quiet type," Marlo finally followed the advice of those around him and pursued a career as a professional hip hop artist. His connection to some heavy-hitters like the Migos and Quality Control Music have catapulted his career, as his rise is continuing to climb to new heights as he's released his latest single "Soakin Wet" featuring Yung Miami from City Girls and Offset.

The song is all about money and sex as the three rappers added their individuality to the trap track. "Soakin Wet" is a laid back jam for the summer, but Marlo doesn't want to drop off a hit song and then be forgotten. "I’m really just using the same energy that I used in the streets to the music business," he told Rolling Out. "You get the same vibe, but some things that go on in the music world, you wouldn’t tolerate in the streets. And some things go on in the streets, you can’t tolerate in the music world. So now I’m just trying to learn it all. I’m not trying to be a one-hit wonder, I’m trying to be here for forever."

Quality Control Music's CEO Pee is one of Marlo's greatest supporters. "Marlo's been in development with QC these past two years and this summer is when people will really see his incredible talent. He is one of my favorite artists and he's speaking that real sh*t," he said.

Quotable Lyrics

Soakin wet, spend the check, I am a vet
I got VV stones wrapped around her neck
I put my hand on top of her head and make her my pet
