That old whippersnapper Mark Hamill is at it again. The actor who portrayed the original Luke Skywalker hasn't been reticent about voicing his opinion in his years of relative inactivity. It stands to reason, Hamill doesn't like the direction the franchise has taken seen being optioned off to Disney by Sir George Lucas himself. Ultimately, Hamill's "Luke" and Harrison Ford's "Han Solo" won't be in the next Star Wars installment, for reasons that are painfully obvious, some more so than others.
So, what did Mark Hamill do with all his discontent; he turned it into an art project. Below is the final rendering of a photoshop job depicting him and Harrison Ford's "Han Solo" sitting in the cabin with Carrie Fisher's "Leia Organa," and Billy Dee Williams' "Lando Calrissian." The image didn't require much explanation, but he did so anyway, with a "#MissedOpportunities" hashtag right down the middle of the post.

The ruse was immediately met with a chorus of boos by a throng of Star Wars devotees. The scene reminded me of the way Lakers fans always point to the team's legacy when the going gets tough. In any case, due to all the frustration, Hamill was forced to apologize in a subsequent Tweet.
"Saw a pic of me with Billy D, Carrison & Harrie. Posted it because I miss them," he wrote in response. "Nothing more, nothing less. I love the new cast too & didn't mean to get everyone's knickers in a twist. Maybe I should've just posted a bunch of #Endgame spoilers instead." No love lost, right?
