Mac Miller recently let go a new project, Macadelic, in which he references many drugs and shows a side that fans haven't seen before. One of the stand-out tracks was "The Question," which featured Young Money's Lil Wayne.

The release of Macadelic, in addition to a video surfacing online where Mac is jittery, sniffing constantly, and energetic, caused rumours to spread that the K.I.D.S. rapper was addicted to cocaine.

In a recent interview with Hardknock TV, Mac explains how the collaboration with Weezy came together, and he also sets the record straight, saying he is not addicted to any drugs. He says the video that was put out was a joke. He admits to experimenting with drugs, as any young person will, but he is by no mean a fiend.

On Lil Wayne:

"Yeah, so what happened with that was, I’m making the shit and the question I’m working on it and I’ve never been one for features, I’ve never had that on my projects. It’s never been a part of my career, co-signs and things like that," Mac said. "But this project, I was like, I really want Wayne on it. I was like, I want him on it. I think that me and him would make a dope song, and I didn’t want to get him on some swag shit with him just rapping and talking shit and stunting. My favorite Wayne is introspective Wayne, just talking about some shit. No matter how deep he goes or him slowing down for a little bit and just talking, I was like, I need to do a jam like that."

Mac continued, "So I make him a song and I’m like, this is perfect for him. So I hit up Mack, because I went to their show and he got us all in no problems. I hit up Mack and I was like, I’m not trying to be the dude that bugs you about a Wayne verse, but can I get a Wayne verse?" he said. "And to be real with you, Wayne beat Kendrick [Lamar]. Wayne sent in his verse before Kendrick did, and Kendrick’s my motherfuckin’ homie, I talk to him all the time. But I always cut up on him that Wayne beat him on getting the verse in on time."

On Drugs:

"Let me just..I'll take you through this whole little shenanigan right here. Um, people, you know, they expirement with things and things like that, but I'm not..I'm not a drug addict, you know what I'm saying,"

Mac explained, "And what happened was, it was like bunch of videos happened at one time that came out. It was the me and French joint, of us chillin', like sippin', and that was like, a big deal. Then I release this cut-up-ass video where I'm completely joking, and I wanted to come across as insane." he said. "Like, that's what like-- I'll joke around, and I'll play, and I'll just joke around, and you know, that's how I wanna come across, as insane, I was being all weird right? And I dropped the video, and everyone's like, "Mac's on coke! He's on cocaine! Oh my god, Mac's on cocaine now!" Because I guess I was in the video all jittery and shit, like that, like anyone can do that, I'm just joking around."
