Lupe Fiasco has previously mentioned The Cool 2, letting fans know that "its gonna be a while but we hard at work." He gave another update today, and he wasn't joking... it's going to be a while.
Posting on Twitter, Lupe estimated that The Cool 2 would arrive "winter 2017." That's over a year from now, but good to know he's putting in work. He also shared a glimpse at The Cool 2's cover art. Whereas the cover of The Cool symbolized three forces in the streets, The Cool 2 cover adds three whole new forces to the mix.
"The Cool is dead," he wrote. "Long live The Cool 2." The Cool, of course, is one of Lupe's most celebrated albums. Today marks the 8th anniversary of the release of The Cool...hopefully the sequel will do it justice.
