Lupe Fiasco says he's going to drop three albums in 2016 and then retire. Last night he shared his latest single "Pick Up The Phone" and its available on his website. It's unclear which of three albums it will appear on -- DROGAS, DROGAS light, or SKULLS.
"Pick Up The Phone" bears little resemblance to Travis Scott and Young Thug's exuberant single, also called "Pick Up the Phone." Both cater to radio tastes, but while the La Flame/Thugger song is a futuristic trap romp, Lupe's "Pick Up The Phone" feels a bit like a LASERS redux.
