Throwback Thursday means more classic freestyles from the extensive vaults of Tim Westwood. This week, Westwood blesses us with a Lloyd Banks freestyle from 2004. Banks absolutely goes off on Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” beat, spitting almost continuously for the entire 5 and a half minute track. Westwood has to run the beat back more than once to accommodate Lloyd Bank’s prolific rapping.
The freestyle features extensive G-Unit references, reminding us of a time when 50 Cent, Game and Lloyd Banks ruled the airwaves. While it isn’t a true freestyle, it’s still impressive that Banks is able to call so many of his verse to mind on command.
