Lloyd Banks returned today with a new mixtape, Halloween Havoc 2, which arrived, funnily enough, the night after Halloween. In any case, fans were grateful to receive the first new project from Banks since 2013. And it's not just a novelty project -- HH2 contains 13 new tracks and some dope production, including a noteworthy beat from Araab Muzik, who shows up on "Angel Dust."
Araab recently produced Joe Budden's "Slaughtermouse," and it seems like he has what it takes to make the vets sound fresh with his chilly electronic sound. Banks busts out raw bars detailing grim street life over a creepy piano melody that repeats throughout the song. His unique voice, calm but expressive, has persisted, and "Angel Dust" proves Banks still has the attitude to rhyme with the best of them.
