After officially beating his armed robbery case earlier this year, RetcH is preparing a new project called After The Verdict. We got the first taste on last week's SoundCloud single "Wildin' Out For Real," which brought the raw energy and inventive production the rapper has become known for. He's followed up the track with "RETALIATION," a song that packs a similar punch but is even more abrasive in its condensed form. "Long live X, long live Wopo," he declares in the opening. It's only about 30 seconds in that the drums enter, and a particularly grimy take on New York boom bap is accomplished as RetcH snarls and sneers. A minute later, the drums are pulled once again, but RetcH is still firing on all cylinders. He hardly seems finished as the song wraps, but we know there's more to come soon enough.
