Lil Yachty's birthday mix is now a three-years-running tradition. Now 21 years old, the self-described King Of The Youth has shared a 16-minute compilation of unreleased music on SoundCloud -- which is exactly what fans have come to expect with these releases. This time around, there's a lot of guests as well, with Gunn, Chief Keef, Trippie Redd, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and K$upreme all making appearances on the short, lo-fi blasts. The music is reminiscent of the melodic, low-stakes rap the Atlanta emcee first emerged with a few years back, and should satisfy his early fans.
Earlier this year, Yachty shared Lil Boat 2, a project that found him balancing his core sound while also growing into a better emcee and finding his place within Quality Control. In the SoundCloud description of "Birthday Mix" he writes "TIL THE NEXT TAPE." It's not clear when that will arrive, but it's clear from this hard drive dump that Yachty is still constantly working on new music.
