Hip-hop traditionalists who have been irked by Lil Yachty's old-head trolling will probably have a hard time processing the Atlanta rapper's new Instagram post. On Saturday, Yachty shared a photo of himself alongside one of rap's most celebrated duos, Outkast, who seem more than happy to pose with the divisive young rapper.
It seems Yachty may have run into Big Boi and Andre 3000 in Houston as they both attend for Super Bowl weekend. All three rappers hail from Atlanta, whose home team the Falcons will be facing off against the New England Patriots tonight at the NRG Stadium.
The ATL pride was in full effect, with Yachty captioning the photo simply "Atlanta."
The last we heard, Yachty's debut album was 79% done. It would be pretty surreal to hear an Andre or Big Boi verse on the project, and would surely anger the rapper's critics to no end. Stranger things have happened.
