With the May 26th release of his upcoming album Teenage Emotions just around the corner, Lil Yachty took to Instagram to detail the thought process behind what the album art portrays. In his own words, he says he wanted to depict aspects of teenage life that he had "never experienced before" prior to high school. Among the examples he gives are of "two dudes kissing" and "albino kids."

When broaching the subject of the African-American kids being in the back, Yachty says there is no racist message lurking anywhere under the surface. Instead, those guys are simply his buddies and, as he puts it, "they just wanted to be in it."
