The hottest series on the planet isn't "Westworld." It isn't the World Series. It is StreetRunner's #TBT series of Lil Wayne tracks from the mid '00s that have just now been mastered for the first time.
This week, StreetRunner released the mastered version of "1 Night Only," which originally appeared on Wayne's 2007 tape The Drought is Over 4. The song is about Lil Wayne's umpteenth one night stand with a girl on his tour bus. He injects a surprising amount of drama, given that he knowns he's gonna kick her to the curb in the morning.
StreetRunner shared a little backstory on SoundCloud: "This song was made circa May 2006. Wayne recorded One Night Only" and "RappaPomPom" the same night within hours of passing him my beat tape. "One Night Only" was on hold for Tha Carter 3 until it eventually leaked."
