Lil Uzi Vert fans can take this news as a positive LUV Is Rage 2 update.
Speaking to the Everyday Struggle crew during the BET Awards (in fact, immediately following the awkward interview that Migos had with them), DJ Drama almost immediately fielded questions about Uzi's next album and when it will hit stores and streaming services.
"It's coming," replied Drama. "There's no real reason [...] but the streams are doing amazing." He added that there's no real rush to get the album out, and that the arrangement that his label has with Uzi is one that give the rapper creative control, so perhaps there's a potential hang-up in that regard. In any case, DJ Drama ended the vague LUV is Rage 2 Q&A with the statement that the album will be coming "as soon as possible," a fact that should quell some of the Uzi fan impatience, at least in the short term.
