The Game of Thrones inspired-soundtrack For The Throne officially dropped yesterday and uncovered the involvement of many of our favorite artists. Previously released tracks from the new release include SZA's "Power Is Power" which featured musical comrades The Weeknd and Travis Scott as well as "Too Many Gods" with New York-bred associates A$AP Rocky and Joey Bada$$. And now to add to the slew of already great contributions, rapper Lil Peep's vocals were meshed with hook-slayer Ty Dolla $ign for "When I Lie (Remix)."
This track differs from its predecessors and offers instead a more punk-rock atmosphere. The leading guitar leads most of the track along with a set of underlying smoke-like echoes. Nevertheless, both Peep and Ty Dolla interplay and reveal their vocal abilities throughout the song. The collaboration is well-suited and mentally places us right in the middle of the anticipated battle of Winterfell with the ruthless White Walkers.
