Lil Loaded dropped his heavy-hitting new track, "Every Time We Step," on Friday, the latest single in a string of releases this year. Loaded may be new to the music scene, but the Dallas rapper is already proving himself as a force to be reckoned with. After blowing up on Youtube with his video for “6locc 6a6y” last year, he's been working hard to give his growing following a steady stream of new music. He dropped his debut solo project named after his breakout single last year, and based on the abundance of singles he's been pumping out this year so far, he looks to be gearing up to drop a new body of work soon.

Spitting with aggressive fervor over a contrasting piano melody, Loaded gets boastful about his rap prowess on "Every Time We Step," declaring, "I use four flows in one verse/Now that’s some type of talent." He also proceeds to namedrop the late Kobe Bryant, spitting, "I’m shooting like I’m Kobe/They know Loaded never pass it." While he seems to be comparing the NBA legend's knack for shooting baskets with his own, it's possible that the use of "shooting" is a double entendre for firing gunshots, considering the implications of his moniker. Loaded has spoken on how he received his stage name, indicating that "People [have] called me Lil Loaded for the longest. I mean shit, I used to go to the basketball court with a pistol in my backpack...I used to go to football practice loaded, on God." Check out "Every Time We Step" and let us know what you think of this up-and-comer.

Quotable Lyrics

I’m goin’ straight ape
I’m stompin’ on his face
Never speak on my bro, Case
In this place when he away
I’m ready to score
I’m ready for war
I’m ready to rock out
