Yesterday, we reported the surprising news that Actavis was discontinuing their Promethazine and Codeine-based cough syrup. The brand is known to be used recreationally by many rappers, and the brand felt that the promotion of the "unlawful and dangerous" use of their product was enough to discontinue the medication.
While Soulja boy has taken it upon himself to stock up on the syrup in light of the shortage, Lil Boosie is supportive of Actavis' decision.
Speaking with TMZ, Boosie revealed that he almost died 3 or 4 times from abusing the medicine, and says that the drug has "fucked up a lot of rappers and the culture of hip hop."
Boosie then commented on Lean's addictive qualities, saying "Once you on, it's hard to get off ... it's damn near impossible."
