Lil Boosie has been incarcerated since 2009, and while many rumors of his return to rap have circulated since his prison bid began, it seems as though the Baton Rouge cult legend is finally coming home.

Originally arrested on a parole violation and third strike marijuana charge, Boosie unfortunately extended his stay after being caught trying to smuggle drugs into prison. The rapper was able to turn things around following the incident, acquiring his GED while behind bars.

Initial reports indicated that the Bad Azz emcee would see release in August of 2014, though brother and manager to the rapper, Taquari Hatch revealed that he could be out a great deal earlier if he completed two classes. Sources now report that Boosie's good behavior has paid off, earning him a release date of February 13, 2014. Only about two weeks away!

His official twitter account also tweeted "#COUNTDOWN" last week, so it appears that the reports could definitely be accurate.

Good news, folks. Not only is Boosie definitely coming home this month, he apparently has "hundreds of songs written [and] ready to be recorded" which will show his growth "as a son, a father [and] a man". Chew Davis, his publicist, has confirmed that he'll be home by the end of February, although he's chosen not to reveal the exact day due to safety concerns.

"I think the folks are waiting for my return to the game," Boosie communicated via Davis.

Indeed. Despite rumors that have been circulating, Boosie doesn't have any shows or appearances scheduled yet. Stay tuned for updates.
