Christopher Valverde was born on February 27, 1987 in Fulda , Germany to VINCENT and RHAPSODIA VALVERDE. His father served proudly in the military for 15 years, and like most military families, they moved around a lot...from Germany to Ft. Lewis, WA, from Ft. Lewis to the Dominican Republic, from DR to New York City, and finally settling in at Jacksonville, Florida. Chris has two brothers, Ramiro and Bryon, and a sister, Iraisa. While living in Jacksonville, Chris attended Jefferson Davis Junior High and attended high school at Frank H. Peterson Academies Of Technology, where he graduated and was certified in Commercial Arts and Television Production. His family has always been a positive and motivating influence, crediting his father as the one who always encourages him to work hard to get better at singing. He also says Michael Jackson was a big influence in singing and dancing. Chris has always wanted to be an entertainer, but he didn't realize his talent for singing until he was about 11 years old. With the encouragement of his father and brother Ramiro (he also sings), Chris began entering talent shows in junior high…and winning them, which convinced him that a career in music was what he wanted more than anything. Chris joined the Army not only to serve his country, but also to gain valuable skills that would help him in pursuit of his music career. Chris writes as much as possible, even with the very busy schedule from serving in the military. When asked about what influences his writing, Chris says that love, family, and his passion for music influence him the most. "Money, cars, women, etc are not important…if they were, I would not be in the military! Family and having a great relationship with your family is the foundation for success in whatever you do, and my family supports me 100%. They are the biggest reason why I write and why I sing." Chris is focusing more on putting together a demo rather than coming right out with an album. He wants to give a sample of where he is talent wise, and to generate some buzz about him and his music. One of the songs on the demo is called "Like A Savage". One listen to Chris, and he reminds you of Ginuwine. He says "Like A Savage" is simply a way of showing the animal like attraction that a man develops for a beautiful woman, and the thoughts and desires that consume him because he wants this woman in the worst way. Currently, Chris is deployed with his Army unit overseas, Peace! For more on Christopher "Legacy" Valverde. Contact him at www.myspace.com/thelegacyhasbegun ; legacy.familyfirst@gmail.com
