The moment you've all been waiting for is almost here. LaVar Ball trading cards, complete with his autograph and some of his most infamous quotes, will go on sale today on eBay.
According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, LaVar signed 200 cards with his name and face on them for Leaf Trading Cards, and each which will be up for grabs at 1pm EST for the fixed price of $59.95 each.
Per ESPN,
"This wasn't all about the money," said Ball, who signed the cards at his California home on Friday. "I think it's cool to have a card."
Each card will have one of his phrases such as, "Lonzo better than Steph Curry!," "$495 ain't enough," and "Stay in yo lane!." Although, when a person clicks to buy they won't know which phrase it features.
"The fact is that LaVar Ball is a significant pop culture icon," Leaf CEO Brian Gray said.
"My job is to create a collectible element for personalities like him. We'll now see if the market is real, not based on what people will pay to first buy them, but what they will resell them for."
Financial terms of LaVar's deal with Leaf Trading Cards were not revealed, but it will be interesting to see how much money people try to resell the $60 cards for.
